Aftermath of the battle of Kutna Hora
Zizka after the battle of Kutna Hora.  (January 1422)  This image, courtesy of the Vlassky Dvur Museum in Kutna Hora, shows Zizka and his soldiers pursuing the army of Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund.  The victory was an amazing upset and raised the perception of Zizka from merely amazing to incredible.
Actor Colin Peacock demonstrates a pistale  (Czech for whistle)  the earliest known firearm.  Zizka was one of the first generals to make extensive use of anti-personnel firearms.
A 3D animated sequence shows how Zizka fired guns from  the security of a rapidly assembled wagon fortress.
A re-enactor demonstrates axe fighting tactics, and consequently terrifies the cameraman.  15th Century fighting techniques are demonstrated in the film by members of Agentura A.R.G.O. a Czech agency known for their painstaking accuracy.
This illustration from around 1500 shows Zizka leading his troops into battle behind a monstrance containing the Eucharist.  Behind Zizka, the soldiers carry flails, effective weapons made from threshing instruments.  The caption reads "Zizka, our faithful brother."

A computer rendition of Prague as it would have appeared in 1419.  The river is crossed by the now famous Charles Bridge, then only about 50 years old.  In the background are the towers of St. Vitus Cathedral in its unfinished state.
