THE TRAIN HAS ARRIVED AT SOUTHERN PACIFIC'S MONTAGUE STATION. AFTER A BRIEF STOP THE TRAIN WILL RETURN TO YREKA BY RUNNING IN REVERSE. THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC AND THE DEPOT ARE NOW GONE AS THE CORP RAILROAD HAS TAKEN OVER SP OPERATIONS ON THE SISKIYOU LINE . WHATS LEFT OF THE DEPOT HAS BEEN RELOCATED AWAY FROM THE TRACKS , MOVED ACROSS THE STREET AND IS NOW A MUSEUM. THE STEAM ENGINE LIVES ON AND THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS SHOW IT THIRTY FIVE SUMMERS LATER HAULING FREIGHT FOR THE AILING DIESEL.
NUMBER 19 ARRIVING AT THE SIERRA PACIFIC MILL LOCATED HALF-WAY BETWEEN YREKA AND MONTAGUE.
MT SHASTA LOOMS UP IN THE DISTANCE ACROSS THE SHASTA VALLEY AS THE STEAMER MOVES A LOADED BULKHEAD FLAT AT THE MILL.
THE LOADED WOOD CHIP CARS DWARF NUMBER 19 AS IT CROSSES THE VALLEY.
