History & Information About: The Redding Convention Center, it is located near downtown Redding, just off Highway 44, surrounded by the beautiful Sacramento River, the Turtle Bay Exploration Park, and the magnificent Sundial Bridge.
The Convention Center will accommodate over 2,000 people in plush, cushioned seats for concert style events. The downstairs area, which consists of orchestra and dress circle, contains 1200 seats. The balconies, which seat people on both the sides and the rear of the theater, have a seating capacity of 822.
When the facility is hosting banquets, conventions, trade shows, and exhibit shows, the seats are removed on the main floor and the balcony sections are raised, allowing the entire area to be used for display space, or banquet tables. When setup for banquets The Convention Center can accommodate over 600 people with room to spare for the dance floor. And the stage has room for large orchestra`s, dance groups or multiple bands at once.
Free, paved and lighted parking is available for over 700 vehicles. |
