CHOOSING A BIKE
Buying a bike is an important decision
and we custom fit all bicycles to the rider. It must be suited to your
riding style and purpose, and fit within your budget. For you to enjoy
your new bike it is necessary that the bike physically fit you as well.
Many people fit easily on a bike, but sometimes we have to make modifications
to compensate for a longer or shorter torso. To assist with those measurements,
we have invested in the CycleMetrics FitStik size tool, which is a quick
reference, or the more involved Fit Kit that also includes cleat adjustment
and a pedal tensionometer.
If you are in the market for a new bike, you should first
consider where and how much you plan to ride. Here are the basic categories
that will help us find the perfect bike for you, and bike manufacturers
create models based on these descriptions. Your approach to other sports
can be considered a prediction of how you will progress with cycling.
A more athletic person is better served by a better bike, and money is
saved the long run.
