The Trinity River
For
Salmon and Steelhead
Truly a world class
river, northern California's Trinity River is one of the best kept secrets
in the west. The angling season for 2000 could only be summed up as excellent
with 25,000 Chinook salmon returning to the hatchery. An afternoon's drive
from the Bay Area puts you at the most uncrowded river in the state. The
Trinity is the main spawning tributary to the Klamath River. Thousands
of chrome bright kings surge into the Trinity River between June and November.
Summer on the Trinity is truly special as "spring run" Chinooks migrate
through this mountain stream. The best way to fish for them is to float
in on one of our drift boats. Since no motors are used you peacefully
enjoy this picturesque stream. Long warm days allow you to enjoy the area's
sights and activities.
Famous for it's fall and winter steelhead,
the Trinity offers opportunities for both conventional and fly fishing
techniques. Our personalized guided fishing trips accommodate up to 3
anglers. We are eager to assist you in your needs for where, how and what
works. Our experience and skills help make your angling pursuits rewarding
and enjoyable. We guide you in the preferred manner whether it be fly
fishing, spin and casting methods or driftboat angling techniques that
allow you to relax until the rod signals a fish on! For a truly memorable
fishing vacation, the Trinity River is California's gem. Leave the crowds
behind and enjoy yourself at Caliofornia's premier fishing and camping
destination.
